The Foundation has provided more than $1,500,000.00 in its grantmaking history in support of charities throughout the United States and has inspired thousands of volunteers across the globe to do what they can to help others and find their unique purpose.

Our Executive Director, Trena Pitchford, is an experienced creative strategist with a dedicated focus for ensuring impact. Her experience spans both for-profit and for-purpose work over twenty-six years. Through creative strategy, she believes in transparent fiscal management, integrity, diversified perspectives, empathy, and developing opportunities that achieve established goals.
Our Board members are volunteers who champion the Open Hearts Philosophy in their personal and professional circles and share the Foundation’s values of working and serving together with like-minded people for the greater good.

Why join us?
The COVID-19 world wide pandemic had an impact on all of us and as a small public Foundation we did not decrease our services, we increased them. Inspired by our own Open Hearts Philosophy, we accepted the challenge and did everything we could to help others by providing immediate grants through our Emergency Relief Fund and inspiring a global base of volunteers to engage in virtual and in-person volunteer experiences.
This work inspired new work for the Foundation and we are in a period of growth. The Operations Coordinator position offers a unique opportunity for a professional to make an impact in a small organization, support a growing mission and strategic plan, learn new skills from leaders in the field, and expand their network.
